Sandra McIntyre is a freelance book editor and writer living in Calgary, Alberta.
Previously, she was the managing editor of Atlantic Canada’s largest independent publisher, Nimbus Publishing, and started Nimbus’ fiction imprint, Vagrant Press. In 2007, she co-edited The Vagrant Revue of New Fiction and received the Halifax Mayor’s Award for Cultural Achievement in Literature.
Sandra’s “book recommendations” can be seen on Calgary’s Breakfast Television and she moderates the Calgary Book Club for Writers, which reads and discusses challenging works of fiction as a way of understanding how fiction works from a writer’s perspective.
Sandra edits fiction primarily, and is currently at work on a historical novel.
